Submission Guidelines

  1. This journal publishes academic articles of Chinese Literature and Philosophy and is open access; domestic and international scholars are welcome to submit papers.
  2. Since its inception in 1997, this journal has always upheld the spirit of rigor, editing, and publishing excellent papers on sinology.  After 2007, the journal changed from an annual to a semi-annual journal; it publishes in June and December every year.  This journal recruits domestic and international well-known sinologists as "editorial advisors" to expand and deepen the journal’s academic vision and foundation.
  3. This journal combines the expertise of professors in the department, plans characteristic themes, and collects related papers into special issues.
  4. This journal may invite manuscripts, at most one article per issue, nominated by the editorial board members and submitted to the editorial board for approval.  Such manuscripts can only be invited and the same author is limited to one invitation within a three-year period.  The manuscript shall not exceed 40,000 characters, and it shall be published only after blind reviews and approval.
  5. This journal mainly publishes Chinese manuscripts that do not exceed 30,000 words. Contributions are limited to those that have not yet been published.  Do not submit one manuscript twice.  Articles that have been published on the Internet will not be included in this journal.  Any article that had been presented at a conference must ensure that article will not be published in the conference proceedings.  All manuscripts must go through blind reviews and be approved before being published in this journal.
  6. At the first page of the submission, please indicate: Chinese and English names of the manuscript, about 300 words of Chinese and English abstracts, respectively, five Chinese and English keywords, respectively, and references at the end of the manuscript.  Please also provide an electronic file that is compatible with Microsoft Word.
  7. Submit the manuscript with a brief introduction of the authors, including: Chinese and English names, affiliations (academic or research unit) and titles in both Chinese and English and contact information such as mailing addresses, telephone numbers, and e-mail addresses.

  10. From 2010 onwards, this journal has been continuously included in Taiwan Humanities Citation Index Core (THCI Core ) journals by the Research Institute for the Humanities and Social Science, Ministry of Science and Technology.  Domestic and international academia and scholars of sinology and Chinese literature and philosophy are welcome to actively submit manuscripts.
